Portrait de Vic Orth
Vic Orth photographs love and its intimacy. In a distant memory, her father entrusted her with an old camera, and that was the beginning of an unfulfilled relationship, a love as sweet as it is passionate with film." - Arthur Dayras, editor at L’œil de la photographie –

Born in 2002 in Lyon, Vic Orth is a French photographer.

Based in Paris since 2019, she explores and affirms her relationship with her body through self-portraiture. These self-portraits quickly become a therapeutic means of expression. Self-taught, she works with film within her four walls, creating self-portraits in natural light and developing them between her shower and sink. Reclaiming her body through the medium.

Since 2020, her series Corps à Corps focuses on the expression of bodies, the fluidity of gender, and how the body bears the marks of time, relationships, and resistance...

His work has been exhibited several times in Île-de-France, abroad, and more recently as part of the 10th Photographic Encounters. It has also been presented at HANGAR Brussels. The series "Corps à corps" was notably the subject of a self-published edition highlighted at BAL, as well as at Artazart and The Analog Club. Vic Orth also completed a commission for L’Œil de la Photographie where it was published, as well as in Acumen magazine.
